Founder Tiny House Movement Shares Why Home Buyers Are Shrinking Their Living Space

Guest Bio:

From Tiny House Website: “What do you do?”  People have been asking each other this question for a long time.  I’ve mostly found this question to be small talk, a way to pass the time to avoid awkward silence until your significant other rejoins the conversation, or until you stare at someone way to long without saying something but you’re committed so you don’t back down. 😄😄 I love awkward pauses.

Short answer is I basically everything tiny homes. From design and build, to meeting with zoning and planning commissions, to visiting tiny home resorts across the US and several other countries.

I bring this up because I recently had the chance to speak to my 4 year olds pre school class on career day. (No awkward pauses with 4 year olds 😁) I got to tell them about people all over the world that live in tiny homes and how some of them are on wheels and have loft bedrooms, and other are on foundations with main level rooms. I got to talk to them about Container homes and Skoolies!

I’ve been extremely blessed in my life. I’ve been married for 15 years and been blessed with 4 children. I believe that where much is given, much is required, and I’ve been given a lot of opportunities!

I want to make a difference for the Tiny House Movement. I’ve been working on projects for Container Homes, THOW’S, Modular Homes, Financing for Tiny Homes and Zoning for Tiny Home communities for several years and I want to help the masses so everyone has the opportunity to live tiny if they choose.

The next year is going to be a big one for tiny homes! If you are working on a project for a tiny home community, or need someone to help design your tiny home, or need to know the differences between a bumper pull and a gooseneck THOW, hit me up! Let’s start working together so that more people don’t have to go through the same growing pains over the next 5 years that we’ve gone through over the last 5.

With the Tiny House Movement becoming so huge around the world, we wanted to be involved.  We quickly realized that Tiny Houses were not just for minimalists. As a family we have traveled to several tiny house resorts and hotels. We have visited with people who needed a more affordable option because of different circumstances.  We have seen homes be built to help the homeless and used as transitional housing.  Of course there are always those people who have built them to travel.

Whether it is a tiny home you want to live in or you simply want to vacation, we are here to help show you tiny homes, can be used in many different ways.
